Suzuki continues to innovate with new tiller handle and multi-function gauge
Suzuki has announced that it will be introducing a new look tiller handle for its DF40A – DF115 models and a new multi-function display gauge for its DF40A – DF300A models.
The new tiller handle for Suzuki’s mid-range outboards (DF40A – DF115) has been more ergonomically designed, making it easier to use. Not only does the handle now adjust to three different positions, the shape of the shift lever has also been changed, making it more comfortable to shift and easier to grasp.
The power trim and tilt switch is now on the end of the handle grip, which enables users to control throttle and trim simultaneously plus there is now a throttle grip friction adjuster so that the sensitivity of the throttle can be changed to suit the user or the conditions.
The Suzuki engineers have also added a troll mode switch and indicator with tachometer so that tiller handle users can take advantage of the new Suzuki Troll Mode System. These changes have all been based on customer feedback, so once again, Suzuki has shown that it listens to boaters and delivers what they need.
Suzuki’s all-new multi-function gauge is NMEA compatible and can be used in conjunction with its DF40A – DF300A models. It will be able to show either digital or analogue displays as well as providing a night mode and has two main features.
The first feature is a navigation compass allowing boaters to cruise easily and safely because you can always see the direction of your destination and home port.
The second feature gives you all the engine management information you need at the touch of a button. The gauge will allow you to use all functions of the tachometer, speedometer, trim gauge, voltmeter, hour meter, water pressure gauge and fuel manager. Furthermore, you can also see the shift position, water temperature, oil temperature, oil pressure and any warning information.
Yasuharu Osawa, Group Manager for Suzuki’s Marine Division in Europe said, “We are always listening to our customers and we are always looking to introduce products to enable boaters to get more satisfaction and enjoyment from their boating experience. These new accessories will add real value to our mid to large horsepower models and we look forward to seeing them launched.”
The planned start date for production of these new accessories is Spring 2012.
